Q : Does the system come with a car charger and windscreen bracket ?
A : Yes, all our car systems are provided with a car charger, windscreen bracket, soft protection case and quick install guide. GPSMAP 60CSx and Tomtom Rider are not car units - see item description for box contents.
Q : Can I hire just the map on SD card ?
A : No, the way Tomtom have designed their software means maps are only campatible with individual units. Whether you try ours or a friends, switching SD cards from one Tomtom to another will NOT work.
Q : Does the Sat Nav run from batteries or a car cigarette charger ?
A : Both - All our systems are provided with a car charger which recharges the Sat Nav's internal batteries. The internal battery life is typically around 2 hours (great for shorter journeys).
Q : How is the item delivered?
A : All equipment is delivered using Royal Mail Special Delivery. This guarantees delivery pre 9am or pre 1pm (you have the choice during check out). We only deliver to the UK.
Q : How do I return an item ?
A : Just pack the equipment in its original box, apply the return label (provided) and take it to a Post Office, click HERE to find your nearest Post Office. You MUST return the equipment using Royal Mail Special Delivery (NOTE : do NOT use the 'Recorded Delivery' or 'Signed For' services as these provide no insurance during transit), from 7th April 2008 the return postage will cost you £5.05 for the Tomtom One & Garmin GPSMAP and £6.40 for Tomtom 710 & 910 and £8.25 for the Tomtom Rider.
Q : I am posting back on a Friday, do I have to pay for Saturday Guarantee ?
A : No, Friday returns are expected back on Monday so you don't need to pay the extra £2.00
Q : Do you deliver to hotels and airport car hire locations ?
A : We'll deliver to any secure address within the UK but we recommend you make arrangements for either yourself or someone you can trust to be available to sign for the item. We can not be held responsible for car hire companies refusing to sign for or pass on items to you.
Q : What about insurance ?
A : We DO NOT provide insurance with our systems and strongly recommend you take out appropriate travel insurance to cover any loss or damage.
Q : Why do you charge £10.00 per day for delayed returns ?
A : We run a schedule of hires which means there is often another customer waiting for the Sat Nav beyond your hire. We simply refuse to let our customers down and therefore apply this charge to encourage prompt return and also cover the additional administration costs. Please Note - charges are calculated using the posting mark.
Q : Do I need a Paypal account to make payment ?
A : No, we use Paypal to process our online transactions but you can pay using a bank or credit card.
Q : Do you take payments over the phone ?
A : No, this helps to keep our costs to a minimum which is reflected in our pricing.
Q : What happens if I am not available to sign for the item ?
A : Royal Mail delivery to an address, not an individual, so anyone at the delivery address can sign for the item. If there is no one available then Royal Mail will issue a calling card with instructions on how to collect or arrange re delivey. Please note - from the date Royal Mail issue this card you normally have to wait 24 hours before being able to collect the item.
Q : What if I cancel, do I get my money back ?
A : Deposits are non refundable and we charge for short notice cancellations, please see our terms and conditions. |
